Description:
While completing the Electrical Union Apprenticeship Certificate of Achievement (Redwood Empire Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee's Inside Wireman Program), apprentices are paid while they work and learn. Wages start at 40% of journeyman electrician's wages and increase 5% every six months or one thousand hours.

Upon successful completion of this program, the student will be able to:
- Apply mathematical operations and formulae to solve basic problems.
- Interpret information and solve basic word problems.
- Describe and demonstrate electrical principles and regulations related to General Electricians' trade.
- Demonstrate knowledge of theory and regulations of General Electricians' trade.
- Apply best practices in practical environment related to General Electricians' trade.
- Identify lighting controls and how they function.
- Describe how lighting controls are installed.
