Description:
The non-credit Virtual Production Fundamentals Certificate of Completion prepares students for entry-level careers in virtual production. Students will apply skills from film production, computer graphics, digital imaging, visual effects and game engines to the virtual production process. Courses in this program may also be offered through partnering colleges. For more information on this collaborative program at all six participating colleges, please visit https://cs.santarosa.edu/vp. As a non-credit offering mirrored with an existing for-credit pathway, this certificate will appeal to working professionals and others who do not seek college credit.
Upon successful completion of this program, the student will be able to:
- Analyze, describe, and apply the fundamental technical requirements of the virtual production workflows.
- Demonstrate proficiency with game engines, 3D animation, 3D graphics, 3D modeling and 3D rendering.
- Employ creative, conceptual, and problem-solving skills including research, prototyping and previsualization techniques.
- Demonstrate the ability to work on a production team and take responsibility for one's role.
