Description:
Health Careers Academy Skills Certificate is designed to introduce students to opportunities in the health care field through lecture, laboratory,and fieldwork experiences. Work-based learning and industry tours are included in the experience.
Upon successful completion of this program, the student will be able to:
- Explain the makeup and function of a healthcare team and discuss the importance of teamwork and communication.
- Demonstrate understanding of focused career profiles by listing basic education and entry-level job requirements.
- Recognize and practice techniques of current infection control precautions in laboratory and clinical settings.
