Associate Degree Requirements:
The major is one of several requirements students need to fulfill in order to be awarded the Associate Degree, the highest level of academic achievement recognized by Santa Rosa Junior College. Please note that all of the following requirements must be met in order for the degree to be conferred:
For all students admitted for the Fall 2009 term or any term thereafter,
a grade of "C" or better, or "P" if the course is taken on a pass/no pass basis,
is required for each course applied toward the major.
Description:
The Graphic Design Production Fundamentals Skills Certificate prepares the student to do entry level print production in the field of graphic design. This certificate is designed for the student who wants a short program to develop employable skills in this field.
This program represents the first rung in a career ladder in graphic design. Students completing this certificate will have completed a portion of the Applied Graphics Certificate and may wish to pursue this more advanced program to enhance their employment opportunities.
Employers generally report that it is moderately difficult to find applicants who meet their hiring standards. This indicates a good outlook for qualified job seekers.
