Associate Degree Requirements:
The major is one of several requirements students need to fulfill in order to be awarded the Associate Degree, the highest level of academic achievement recognized by Santa Rosa Junior College. Please note that all of the following requirements must be met in order for the degree to be conferred:
For all students admitted for the Fall 2009 term or any term thereafter,
a grade of "C" or better, or "P" if the course is taken on a pass/no pass basis,
is required for each course applied toward the major.
Description:
The Administration of Justice major provides practical and technical instruction to meet the requirements of various law enforcement/corrections agencies at the local, state, and federal levels.
Jobs in law enforcement include police officer and deputy sheriff, special police officers, and tribal police officer. Jobs in corrections include adult corrections officer, juvenile correctional counselor, probation or parole officer, and youth supervisor or caseworker.
*Students interested in the Law Enforcement component of the major should choose AJ 51B and AJ 63 from the program requirement options below.
*Students interested in the Corrections component of the major should choose AJ 70 and AJ 71 from the program requirement options below.
