The environmental, social, ethical and political factors which influence the development and operation of the American legal system; law of contracts and sales emphasizing California law and the Uniform Commercial Code. Topics and Scope

1.  Introductory Materials

   Nature and purpose of law; origin, history, and development of

   law; courts, legal procedures, and alternative dispute resolution.

2.  Administative Law and Government Regulation.

3.  Law of Contracts

   Introduction; nature and classification of contracts; formation,

   operation, and discharge of contracts; remedies.  Emphasis on

   consumer matters.

4.  Agency Employment Law

5.  Law of Sales

   Formalities of sales contracts; passage of title; warranties; fights

   and remedies of buyer and seller; conditional sales contracts.

6.  Survey of Business Organizations in the Global Legal Environment.
