At the conclusion of this course, the student should be able to:

1. Develop story ideas, conduct research and interviews, and write different types of news and feature stories, opinion pieces and entertainment reviews on deadline.
2. Use different media (i.e. audio, video and photography) to create multimedia news and feature stories.

1. Write a variety of news stories, such as police, fire, accident, meeting, speech, and others on deadline.
2. Find and develop story ideas for news and feature stories.
3. Find sources, prepare for, and conduct interviews.
4. Conduct research on story topics.
5. Write, edit, and refine news, feature, opinion and other types of stories.
6. Create news or feature stories using audio, video, photography, or other digital media.
