3. Arrange a jazz, pop, or Latin tune for an eight-piece ensemble.

2. Write background lines to given melodies.
3. Create saxophone spread voicings from given chord symbols.
4. Harmonize given melodies in open-voiced soli style.
5. Arrange compositions for combo or large ensembles in a manner suitable for college-level or
professional performance.
