Comprehensive review of veterinary technician information to prepare students for success on the Veterinary Technician National Exam. Pertinent subject matter will be reviewed with a focus of restating key concepts and identification of students personal strengths and weaknesses regarding required subject matter. Student Learning Outcomes:
At the conclusion of this course, the student should be able to:

1.   Explain the test design, required subject matter and application requirements for Veterinary Technician Board Exams
2.   Evaluate adequacy of personal knowledge of each category of veterinary knowledge covered on the RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician) board exams and develop a personalized study plan

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1.  Develop a general exam study plan and organize study materials
2.  Identify personal readiness for board exam success for all knowledge categories included on Veterinary Technician Board Exams
3.  Describe the composition of RVT board examinations and the types of questions commonly encountered
4.  Complete an application to sit for the RVT exam
5.  Apply test question analysis questions to both familiar and unfamiliar material
6.  Complete a mock state board exam with a passing grade (70% or higher)

2.  Subject Matter Reviews: The scope of material covered will mirror the subject areas identified by the California Veterinary Technician Exam Committee and/or American Association of State Veterinary Boards.
