3. Compare and contrast common plant growth responses to basic pruning techniques.
4. Identify available pruning tools.
5. Select proper tool for the proper pruning job.

7. Distinguish among common shrub and ground cover growth forms.
8. Describe various specialty pruning practices and the techniques used to for each.
