The preproduction aspects of production; involving rehearsal,
building of costumes, scenery and properties, rigging and focusing of
lights, preparation of makeup and wigs, as well as box office and
theatre management techniques. Since the purpose of the course is
preparation of production, the educational process will reflect the
apprentice system as opposed to formal class structures. The student
will actively engage in a specific area of specialization while working
with resident faculty, graduate assistants and visiting preprofessional
personnel.
Content of the course will overlap several existing Theatre Arts
Department courses, however the concentrated program will relate each
of these courses to one another in a manner which cannot be accomplished
during the regular instructional year. For this reason, the course
outlines of the following courses should be carefully examined for
detailed descriptions of student performance requirements.

TA 21 - Introduction to costuming
TA 22 - Techniques of stage make-up
