including recognition of personal biases and prejudices.
2. Evaluate others in the group situations.
3. Be able to observe and evaluate group communication.
4. Use, describe and analyze active listening skills.
5. Evaluate leadership styles.
6. Identify the common elements in a group situation,
including norms, sex roles, and conflict resolution strategies.
7. Develop an appreciation of the differences of others.
8. Evaluate self and others' ability to negotiate for change.
9. Discuss multicultural awareness and appreciation of diversity.

Assignments usually include:
1. Experiential games and simulation exercises.
2. Participation in various types of small groups.
3. Field work (field experiment, mock trial).
4. Written midterm (includes reading and textbook). Critical thinking
skills exercised as students apply themselves to the midterm's
general concepts. Questions refer to leadership, interpersonal
orientation, conflict resolution, gender issues and non-verbal
communication.
5. Comprehensive Term Paper (indicating ability to apply, analyze,
evaluate and synthesize concepts of group dynamics and problem
solving), to a specific group of the student's choice.
