Outcomes and Objectives:
At the conclusion of this course, the student should be able to:

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1.  Apply appropriate vocabulary and grammar to everyday conversational
   and survival topics in standard speech.
2.  Summarize or paraphrase orally in Spanish the main idea or gist of a
   written or verbal statement or narration.
3.  Differentiate among verb tenses in Spanish in present, past, and
   future time.
4.  Narrate and describe in present, past and future time.
5.  Correctly respond to the majority of classroom instruction in Spanish.
6.  Generate spontaneous (unpracticed/unmemorized) conversations
   utilizing vocabulary and grammar targeted during the course.
7.  Conduct interviews and oral inquiries such as surveys to ascertain
   information.
8.  Organize and deliver an oral presentation.

Assignments:

Assignments for Spanish 50C include specific reading, listening, and
study assignments, and separate written and group homework assignments,
and may include:
1.  Role-plays on everyday topics and careers.
2.  Interviews to obtain information from Spanish speakers.
3.  Pair and small group discussions and problem-solving.
4.  Presentation of original dialogues and skits in person or by audio
   or video tape.
5.  Reading of passages from text and answering questions.
6.  Written assignments from text and workbook.
7.  Quizzes and chapter exams
