Description:
This single-course certificate is designed to apply the principles contained in Fire Command 1A to the problems associated with multi-casualty, hazardous materials, and wildland fire incidents. Upon successful completion, the student will be awarded a Fire Command 1B certificate from the State Fire Marshal's office.
Upon successful completion of this program, the student will be able to:
- Manage a fire ground incident using the Incident Command System (ICS);
- make decisions and communicate an action plan for a multi-casualty incident (MCI);
- make decisions and communicate an action plan for a hazardous materials incident; and
- make decisions and communicate an action plan for a wildland fire incident.
