Musicianship 2 applies and develops the materials of Music Theory 2 through sight singing, ear training, and dictation. Students will focus on rhythmic subdivision, melodies in major and minor keys (simple and compound meter), fluency in alto and tenor clefs, and 2- and 4-part dictation of diatonic chord progressions with triads and dominant seventh chords.

1. Take dictation of melodies in major and minor keys featuring leaps from the I, IV, V, and V7 chords.
2. Take dictation of rhythms with subdivided beats in simple and compound meters.
3. Take harmonic dictation of common diatonic progressions with inversions, writing outer voices and Roman numerals.
4. Sight read and perform rhythms with subdivided beats in simple and compound meters.
5. Sight sing melodies in major and minor keys featuring leaps from the I, IV, V, and V7 chords.
