COURSE CONTENT

At the conclusion of this course, the student should be able to:

1. Describe and demonstrate roofing principles and regulations related to the roofing trade.  

2. Apply best practices in practical environment related to the roofers' trade.

1. Name and compare the advantages of the various roofing tiles.

2. Describe the handling and application of roofing tiles.

I.      Rigid Roofing

II.     Hoisting and Handling of Rigid Roofing

III.    Two-Piece Mission Barrel Tile

IV.    One-Piece Mission Tile

V.     Romantile, Flat Shingle Time and Oriental Clay Tile

VI.    Concrete Interlocking Tile

VII.   Slate and Rigid Asbestos Shingles

VIII.  Other Rigid Roofing Materials
