1. Write objectives describing academic research to be completed on an approved topic in the subject of counseling and/or human services.
2. Compile and analyze research based upon established objectives.
3. Analyze and evaluate research.

Topics and Scope

Topics will vary according to student needs. Student and instructor will develop an individual plan based on an agreed topic and outline. The outline will include, but not be limited to:
 
1. Definition, selection, and exploration of a topic.
2. Specialized subject area as approved by instructor.
3. Standard research methods for collection of data and research.
4. Assessment and evaluation of research project.

1. Weekly progress reports with oral, written and/or electronic summaries of research progress
    (can be done as homework).
