COURSE CONTENT

Student Learning Outcomes:
At the conclusion of this course, the student should be able to:

1. Identify current trends and advances in pre-hospital medicine.

2. Apply knowledge and demonstrate skills required to meet paramedic accreditation requirements in Coastal Valley Emergency Medical Services (EMS) region.

 

Objectives:

At the conclusion of this course, the student should be able to:

1. Identify and list current trends in pre-hospital management of medical and trauma emergencies.

2. Identify and demonstrate skills required for treatment of a critically ill or injured adult or child in the pre-hospital environment.

3. Identify and demonstrate new or revised protocols used to treat a medical or trauma patient in the Coastal Valley EMS region.

4. Identify, list, and demonstrate the administration of current and new medications used to treat a medical or trauma patient in the Coastal Valley EMS region.
