Autobiographical Writing for Older Adults
Description:This course is designed to teach older adults the skills necessary to write personal accounts of their life stories. A supportive learning environment allows students to read their stories and receive feedback in order to bring interest and clarity to their life experiences. Course activities promote or maintain mental, social and emotional well-being and accommodate varying skill levels.

 Class focuses on Writing Our Stories: Fostering Connection and Community Through Poetry.This is a welcoming, supportive class for those who want to explore self-expression and build community through poetry creation. No prior writing experience is needed. In this course, participants will experience how poetry can be a meaningful and accessible path to explore self-expression, celebrate culture, record memories, spark creativity, and foster authentic connection with others. Students will be offered compelling writing exercises and expert guidance as they explore a variety of poetic forms in a warm and encouraging environment
