MUSCP 32B Jazz Band 2 Description: The SRJC Jazz Band is dedicated to the rehearsal and performance of classic and contemporary literature for large jazz ensemble. Designed for musicians who are able to perform at the college level. The emphasis is on the further development of jazz interpretation, ensemble skills, and sight-reading, particularly in musical styles outside of the swing genre. The band performs at least two major public concerts per semester, which may include an off-campus festival performance.
