MEDIA 6 Media, Culture, and Identity Description: This course examines the impact media has on perceptions of race, class, gender, and sexuality in America. Students will investigate the origins of cultural stereotypes as well as the complexities of representing various American cultures in the media. Particular attention will be paid to women and minority mediamakers.
