MATH 10 Nature of Mathematics Description: A survey course in mathematical concepts and mathematics in culture. Topics to include mathematical reasoning and four additional topics selected from number theory, probability, statistics, mathematical modeling, contemporary applications, geometry, and the history of mathematics. Recommended for liberal arts students. Prerequisites: Completion of MATH 161 or MATH 154 or MATH 156 or MATH 155 or AB705 placement into Math Tier 1 or higher Transferability: CSU; UC  Repeatability: Two Repeats if Grade was D, F, NC, or NP Grading Type: Grade or P/NP Sections listed are for Fall 2022
