Knitwear Construction
Description:Students will learn industry techniques for sewing knitwear apparel including sportswear separates, lingerie, and activewear. Machine skills include use of specialized knit stitches on computer sewing machines, sergers, and cover-stitch machines.
Recommended Preparation:Course Completion of FASH 70A

 Mandatory Zoom meetings will take place for each class session starting at the days/time(s) listed as Online. Students are expected to be online with a functioning mic, and/or camera for the live session. In addition, course content, lecture and demonstration videos will be posted in Canvas for students to access outside of class time. Four In-Person Class meetings are scheduled for the end of the semester to allow students to use the lab sewing machines and communicate with instructor about final projects. In-person class meetings will take place on April 8, April 22, May 6 and May 20. A Sewing Machine with specific knit fabric capabilities is required. Loaner sewing machines are available. Please contact the Program Coordinator or your instructor if you do not have access to a sewing machine.
