Community Engagement Related to Medical Imaging
Description:A self-directed student volunteer program designed to facilitate experiential learning and service in the medical imaging community. Students volunteer 60 hours per unit per semester for 0.5 to 3 units of credit at a variety of health care placements including: hospitals and outpatient clinics. Volunteer activities may include: observing/ assisting in a health care institution in the field of radiology in an approved volunteer position.
Recommended Preparation:Eligibility for ENGL 100 or ESL 100 or appropriate placement based on AB705 mandates
Limits on Enrollment:Student must complete an informational meeting with instructor, understand requirements for placement, confirm knowledge of work-based learning objectives, and secure volunteer placement prior to enrollment.
Transferability:CSU 
Repeatability:Two Repeats if Grade was D, F, NC, or NP
Grading Type:Grade or P/NP
