Description:This course explores the historical development and philosophy of the administration of justice in America, including theories of crime, punishment, rehabilitation, and the identification of the system and various subsystems, role expectations, and their interrelationships in society.
Recommended Preparation:Eligibility for ENGL 100 or ESL 100 or equivalent

 This is a 3-credit short-session online class. It is recommended that students taking this course also select one of the short session 3-credit courses that begin on October 18, 2021. Students can select either AJ 22 Criminal Law or AJ 70 Corrections. Taking 2 consecutive short session courses will allow students to complete a total of 6 units in the semester, with directed focus on only one subject each session.
