Landscape Plants: Winter/Spring
Description:Identification, growth habits, culture and ornamental use of landscape and indoor plants adapted to California climates. Includes an introduction to plant taxonomic system and botanical nomenclature. Emphasis on plants listed in the current California Association of Nurserymen (CAN) and Associated Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA) Certification Tests Plant Lists. Presentation of those plants best observed and studied in the winter and spring of the year through field lectures on SRJC grounds and at other locations.
Recommended Preparation:Eligibility for ENGL 1A or equivalent and Course Completion of CS 5 or proficiency in basic productivity software including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
Transferability:CSU; UC 
Repeatability:Two Repeats if Grade was D, F, NC, or NP
Grading Type:Grade or P/NP
