Identity and Cultural Diversity
Description:A comparative and historical analysis of society and individual behavior from a multicultural perspective. An examination of American ethnic/cultural groups (African, Asian, European, Latino and Native Americans) and experiences that influence behavior. The relationship between personality development and culture, barriers to cross cultural interaction, communication styles and counseling strategies will also be explored.
Recommended Preparation:Eligibility for ENGL 100 or ESL 100 or equivalent

 The above section is part of the Umoja learning community.  This is a Petaluma Transfer Track class and is open to all students. Transfer Track classes start late and end early and do not meet during finals week. This class has a mandatory Zoom meeting on Wednesdays from 1-3pm with the first Zoom meeting being on 2/3. The online component of the class will begin on 2/1.
