ENGL 14 Dystopian Literature Description: This course will survey the genre of dystopian literature: works set in a futuristic bad-place (dys-topos). Study will include classic and contemporary works; major writers and themes of dystopian literature; technocultural theory; and an exploration of why dystopian literature has captured the contemporary cultural imagination.
