Description: | This course will explore the political, economic, and social history of America from 1945 to the present including the United States’ role in the Cold War and post-Cold War eras. Domestic trends examined will include the expanding consumer society, rise of social movements, and the response of neo-conservatism. Additionally, the course will focus on America’s relationship to the larger world including the nation’s relationship with the Soviet Union, participation in Middle East conflict and globalization. |
