Ranger Academy
Description:Basic Law Enforcement Training program accredited by the Federal Government to certify graduates for employment in National Parks and/or Regional and County Parks. Upon the completion of this course the student will meet the minimum standards set by the National Park Service (NPS) for entry into a structured field training program as a Law Enforcement Ranger and/or as a Regional or County Park law enforcement employee.
Prerequisites:Completion or Concurrent Enrollment of AJ 203A. Students must be enrolled in both courses during the same semester
Recommended Preparation:Eligibility for ENGL 100 or ESL 100
Limits on Enrollment:Student must provide a medical clearance to participate in the academy physical conditioning program and physical performance tests. California residents must pass a criminal history check as outlined in California Penal Code 13511.5. Non-residents must also pass a criminal history check through their home states or the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Students must possess a valid driver's license.
Repeatability:Two Repeats if Grade was D, F, NC, or NP
