Critical Thinking and Argumentation
Description:Primary emphasis is on argumentation as the study of analysis, evidence, reasoning, refutation and rebuttal in oral and written communication. A significant component involves written argumentation with special attention to the essay form.
Prerequisites:Completion of ENGL 1A (OR ESL 10) or higher
Transferability:CSU; UC 
Repeatability:Two Repeats if Grade was D, F, NC, or NP
Grading Type:Grade or P/NP

 Mandatory Zoom meetings will take place on the days and times listed. Students should have reliable internet access and a functioning webcam that has both video and audio capabilities. Given that the development of nonverbal skills is central to the Communication discipline, students are expected to have their webcams on when engaged in synchronous online instruction.
