Description: | An introduction to the sewing techniques and garment construction skills used in fashion design and apparel production. Students will learn fundamental skills such as fabric selection, pressing, and operation of a sewing machine in order to construct a variety of samples and finished garments. |

| This class will have live class meetings ONLINE in Zoom each week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00-1:30pm. Additional course content is available online in Canvas including demonstration videos, assignment instructions, and written lecture material. Students will complete multiple assignments each week. This is an accelerated pace course. A limited number of sewing machines are available for students to borrow for the semester.
