General Chemistry Part 1: Lab |
Description: | General principles of chemistry, including atomic theory, bonding, stoichiometry, kinetic molecular theory of gases, properties of mixtures, the periodic table, and thermochemistry. Emphasis will be placed n laboratory experiments that illustrate the fundamental principles and laws of chemical behavior and the properties of matter. Lab portion of the first semester of a one-year program of general chemistry. |
Prerequisites: | Course Completion or Current Enrollment in CHEM 3A |
Recommended Preparation: | Course Completion of ENGL C1000 ( or ENGL 1A) |

| CHEM 3AL is the lab portion of the first-semester general chemistry (formerly CHEM 1A). CHEM 3A and CHEM 3AL are corequisites. A student needs to sign up for one section of CHEM 3A and CHEM 3AL. Social distancing and adherence to safe health protocols will be required for participants. |
