Dr. Summers grew up in Ohio and has two adult children, son (Investment Analyst & Stock Broker) and daughter 28, (Assistant Human Resources Director).  Dr. Summers work background: 22 years of college teaching experience from Illinois, Arizona, Washington State, and California; previous Department Chair, tenured, Sociology & Social Work Professor; Data Specialist for University of Illinois, Chicago, National Research and Training Center (NRTC); Assistant Director of The Population Society & Research Center at Bowling Green State University, OH; previous Licensed Social Worker (LSW) for the State OH; Army Veteran, Honorably Discharged (both active and reserves). 

Work and Consulting Experience

Career at Santa Rosa Junior College began in 2018.  He also teaches at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, CA and Holy Names University, in Oakland, CA
