We will be using CANVAS for all online course management including weekly online quizzes, wiki-pages, glossaries, exam scores (gradebook function), project submissions (via electronic uploads), and lecture pages for all classes. Please make sure you're very familiar with Canvas and how to crop, rotate and upload photos and files.

Academic Experience

2013 - _____: SRJC Petaluma
2010 - 2013: Visiting Assistant Professor, St. Lawrence University.
2009 - 2010: Postdoctoral Research, University of Rhode Island.
2004 - 2009: Ph.D. Research, University of Rhode Island.

I received my undergraduate degree from James Cook University, BSc Honours from the University of Tasmania in Australia, and completed my doctoral studies and post-doctoral research at the University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Oceanography. This research was focused on the explosive eruptions of Cerro Hudson in southern Chile. Geology has taken me to many places around the world including Argentina, Australia, the Canary Islands (Spain), Chile, Costa Rica, Greece, Italy, New Zealand, and throughout the USA, and it continues to fascinate me.
