Academic Experience

I have taught through the Older Adults Program for 20+ years offering classes in LGBTQI History Sonoma County, Arts and Crafts and Music Appreciation.

I was born and grew up in Petaluma, CA. I studied piano and voice at SRJC and SSU. I graduated with an MA in Psychology and Art Therapy in 1996. I used my degree to teach arts and crafts to the elderly through SRJC's Older Adults Program. I also worked as an off-campus administrator for the SSU Art Therapy MA Program. I did same for Natalie Rogers' Person Centered Expressive Therapies Institute.

In 2017 I started working with others on the Sonoma County LGBTQI Timeline which was premiered at Sonoma County PRIDE 2018. Through this project I have developed a keen interest in local history and a passionate desire to share what I have lived and learned of that history.  I live in Santa Rosa with my partner and enjoy playing piano and ukulele, gardening and our two cats.
