My entire career has been in food, wine and hospitality! I give students the opportunity to experience “the other side of the line,” teaching a variety of courses in the Front House Operations and Restaurant Management certificate programs.
My career includes restaurant management and consulting, wine education, career coaching, and managing non-profit food and wine trade associations. I've owned two small businesses, a hospitality recruiting business and a wine education/entertainment business. In addition to teaching, I manage the SRJC Culinary Career Center, connecting our students and graduates with employers in the food, wine and tourism industries. Networking is key in our industry, and I do a lot of it! I've been teaching in SRJC's Culinary Arts Department since 2000 and it's a dream job!
