Sheryl Cavales Doolan was raised in the Pacific Northwest before settling in Sonoma County. After graduating from Rancho Cotate High School, she attended Santa Rosa Junior College and graduated with her AA degree. She then transferred to Sonoma State University where she earned first her Bachelor's and then Master's degrees in English. She completed her Doctorate in Educational Leadership at San Francisco State University in 2019. She is currently an English Instructor, the Writing Center Coordinator, and the Writing PALS Coordinator at SRJC.
