Terry Ehret has published several collections of poetry including Suspensions, Lost Body, Translations from the Human Language, Lucky Break, and Night Sky Journey. Literary awards include the National Poetry Series, California Book Award, Pablo Neruda Poetry Prize, nominations for Independent Book Sellers Award and the Northern California Book Reviewers Award, and five Pushcart nominations. She is the co-founder of Sixteen Rivers Press, a shared-work publishing collective for San Francisco Bay Area poets. From 2004-2006 she served as poet laureate of Sonoma County where she teaches creative writing workshops.

Poets & Writers__ Writers On Site Residency at the Oakland Museum of California and the Oakland Public Library, January-March 1997. My residency project included arranging and moderating a forum on Poetry and the Visual Arts, teaching writing workshops at the museum and the library, composing a sequence of 14 original poems in response to the art work in the Gallery of California Art, and recording a Poetry Audio Tour featuring work from this sequence as well as poems by participants in the workshops
