C. Ethnic groups represented in the Balkans.
III. RHYTHMS AND STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS
A. Complex rhythms characteristic of the Balkans.
B. The role of improvisation and variations on basic
movements.
IV. INFLUENCES ON DIFFERENT ETHNIC/REGIONAL STYLES
A. Foreign influences on dance and music.
B. The role of ethnic minorities within a country.
