1. Explain and apply principles and elements of floral line arrangements through construction of designs and projects.
2. Create floral line arrangements including horizontal, vertical, Inverted T, L-shape, and crescent arrangements.
3. Incorporate various foliage types into several different types of floral arrangements.

2. Assemble intermediately complex floral arrangements with appropriate speed and precision according to structural design principles.

1. One midterm project.

3. One portfolio comprising of photos of weekly design projects with accompanying journal entries listing materials and describing methods for each project.
Lab Related Assignments:
1. Weekly design and construction projects on one to two arrangements per week, including:
A. A mixed flower triangular one-sided floral design.
B. An "L-shaped" and a crescent floral design.
C. An inverted "T" line arrangement, utilizing negative space.
D. An arrangement using only foliage.
E. A tall vase arrangement using a tall vase, greens for the pack to work in (no foam); create an easy flowing round shape arrangement using the length of the flowers.
F. A corsages and a boutonnieres.
G. A vase arrangement of medium height and compact design.
H. A hand-tied bouquet.
I. A seasonal wreath
J. A horizontal centerpiece
