At the conclusion of this course, the student should be able to:

1. Apply design and color to fabric by a variety of basic fabric dyeing
techniques.
2. Demonstrate the proper and safe use of tools and supplies.
3. Create dyed fabrics appropriate for use in crafting simple garments and
accessories.

1. Create a sample demonstrating each technique.
2. Compile samples into a project binder.
3. Projects: 1-2 scarves (approx. 12" X 45"); 1 banner using selected
application techniques.
4. Final project: small project of choice incorporating fabric dyeing
technique(s). For example: scarf, shawl, yardage.
