Instruction in the advance techniques of dental radiology, anatomical landmarks, dental anatomy pertaining to dental radiography, exposure and processing faults.  Emphasis is on evaluation of the quality of the films both intra- and extra-oral.  Processing and maintaining automatic processors.  Knowledge of panoramic techniques and other related radio- graphic equipment.

At the conclusion of this course, the student should be able to:

3.  Demonstrate a knowledge of legal aspects related to ownership of
   dental films.
4.  Demonstrate the process of film duplication.
5.  Analyze the ways radiographs are used in the diagnosis of periodontal
   disease.
6.  Demonstrate the parallel technique for patient positioning and film
   exposure.
7.  Demonstrate the radiographic technique for children.
8.  Evaluate the quality of radiographs and explain the necessary correc-
