Students will receive classroom theory and hands-on training in the safe and effective operation of a variety of construction equipment, such as forklifts, scissor lifts, telehandlers, compact track loaders, mini-excavators, telescoping boom lifts, site dumpers, and similar machines. This course focuses on safety compliance procedures OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), pre-operation checklists, and real-world operating scenarios.

Course Completion or Current Enrollment in ADED 740 ( or ADLTED 740)


Recommended Preparation:
Course Completion of ADED 739 ( or ADLTED 739)

1. Identify and describe key safety features and operation controls on various types of construction equipment.
2. Perform pre-operation safety inspections.
3. Operate equipment, such as telehandlers, compact track loaders, and mini-excavators with awareness of jobsite hazards.
4. Execute basic equipment maneuvers, such as lifting, digging, and material transport.
5. Conduct post-operation shutdown and maintenance procedures.
