Students completing independent studies courses will be able to comprehend and demonstrate basic knowledge in the subject area specified on their application. In addition, they will be expected to apply, analyze, synthesize, and evaluate their knowledge and comprehension of the material.

Supervising faculty will ensure that the topics of this independent study course will be college level material and will include a critical thinking component as appropriate for each particular subject.
