COURSE CONTENT

Student Learning Outcomes:
At the conclusion of this course, the student should be able to:

1.  Demonstrate mastery of the basic arithmetic operations involving fractions, decimals,

    proportions, and percents.

2.  Analyze proportional relationships and use them to solve real-world and mathematical

    problems.

3.  Use academic literacy skills to improve studying and learning.

 

Objectives:

At the conclusion of this course, the student should be able to:

1. Work flexibly between percents, decimals and fractions.

2. Use ratio and rate reasoning to solve real-world problems.

3. Compare and contrast different ways to find values in proportional relationships.

4. Use proportional relationships to solve multi-step ratio and percent problems.

5. Apply problem-solving skills to college classes, the workplace, and daily life situations.

    E. Double number line diagrams

II. Proportional Relationships

    A. Recognizing proportional relationships
