At the conclusion of this course, the student should be able to:
1. Demonstrate basic knowledge of studio photography equipment correctly, safely and
creatively in the production of original images.
2. Demonstrate proper use of: cameras, lights, modifiers, stands, booms and tripods.
3. Demonstrate mastery of various artificial light sources including continuous light and studio
strobes.
4. Employ creative and critical judgment regarding photographic composition and lighting for
working in a photographic studio setting.
5. Apply a working vocabulary of studio photography terminology towards the critical analysis
of images.
6. Create a portfolio that demonstrates a range of studio lighting techniques.
