An overview of the information necessary to conduct incident size-up and the development and implementation of initial plans of action involving single and multiunit operations for various types of emergency incidents as well as mitigating the situation following agency safety procedures, conducting pre-incident planning and developing and conducting a post-incident analysis.  Upon successful completion, the student will be awarded a completion certificate from the State Board of Fire Services.

2.  Demonstrate the critical thinking, communication and decision making skills necessary to develop and implement a plan of action and manage an emergency.
