1. Locate places, regions and major physical features of the world.
2. Use, analyze and interpret maps.
3. Demonstrate awareness and knowledge of regions with respect to their unique cultural, political, economic, social, and physical geographical patterns.
4. Define and describe major geographic concepts and use them to recognize the distribution of cultural and physical features on Earth's surface.
5. Utilize geographic concepts and terms to explain consequences of globalization.
6. Demonstrate an awareness of the underlying social and physical geographic forces shaping global events.
7. Detect and explain the impacts of human-caused environmental issues on world populations.
