At the conclusion of this course, the student should be able to:

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

1. Plan and organize the purchase, construction, set-up and removal of

floral decorations for a special events.

2. Conceive and execute thematic occasion floral designs.

3. Create floral decorations for a variety of special events.

I. Planning and Organization

 A. Planning for purchase of materials and construction of floral designs

 B. Logistics of special events work

 C. Delivery

 D. Set-up

 E. Removal and clean-up

II. Designing and Decorating for a Variety of Events and Settings

Assignments:

1. Create floral designs for special events on campus.

2. Final project: Portfolio including photos of decorated special events

with journal entries describing type of event, theme, and decorations

used.
